NATURAL RESOURCES • Strengthen operational safety and efficiency by improving maintenance shop workspaces, office environments, and field operations that support natural resources staff and programs. • Expand native plant and seed production capacity through volunteer engagement and multi-agency collaboration to support regional restoration needs. • Advance key habitat and wildlife projects by completing pond improvements, enhancing agricultural practices for species benefit, and implementing fuels-reduction and wildfire-mitigation initiatives. • Improve land stewardship through integration of innovative land-management tools such as drone technology and expanded grazing programs to improve monitoring, fuels reduction, and species management. • Strengthen community and partner engagement through collaborative projects, educational outreach efforts, and initiatives that support local families and youth. • Strengthen organizational effectiveness and interagency collaboration by clarifying unit roles, advancing long-range planning efforts, and expanding agreements that support conservation, recreation, and habitat protection.
