SAFETY • Enhance District-wide safety through modernized training

NATURAL & HISTORICAL INTERPRETATION • Standardize and enhance the guest experience through improved operational procedures, expanded merchandise offerings, and consistent use of the recreation management software for sales, registrations, and reservations. • Strengthen organizational effectiveness by clarifying roles and responsibilities, improving internal communication, and fostering a shared understanding within the interpretive division to support accountability, communication, and staff development. • Enhance visitor and nature center experiences through strategic interior improvements, facility enhancements, and modernization efforts. • Expand educational partnerships and community outreach by increasing engagement with local school districts and by participating in school events and outreach opportunities. • Enhance visitor engagement at interpretive sites through expanded interactive audio-visual elements, educational exhibits, display animals, and hands-on learning opportunities. GUEST SERVICES • Lead successful implementation of a new District-wide point-of-sale system that improves operational efficiency, consistency, and customer service. • Strengthen customer feedback process by reviewing, updating, and auditing all public-facing surveys to ensure they remain relevant, effective, and actionable. • Improve customer service and operational consistency by updating refund policies to align with the capabilities and requirements of the new recreation management software system. • Enhance fee reduction and waiver procedures by aligning practices with partnership objectives, supporting community benefit, and minimizing revenue loss. • Improve facility reservation management and recovery of operational costs by implementing

REGIONAL PARKS • Strengthen community and business partnerships by building relationships with chambers of commerce, local organizations, and businesses to expand awareness, support special events, and create new collaborative opportunities. • Increase public visibility and engagement by deploying park staff and volunteers at local events to promote parks, programs, and special events. • Standardize and modernize park operations through consistent procedures, improved service delivery, and implementation of a comprehensive operations handbook. • Improve operational efficiency and field capabilities through phased implementation of compact utility task vehicles (UTVs) across park sites. • Expand fee-based special events to diversify revenue streams, increase visitation, and enhance recreational opportunities throughout RivCoParks. VOLUNTEER SERVICES • Enhance support services for camp hosts and caretakers by implementing an efficient mail and package delivery system. • Expand volunteer participation and engagement through increased involvement in District special events, programs, and service opportunities. • Strengthen volunteer program effectiveness by reviewing and updating the Volunteer Handbook to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with current District practices and expectations. • Improve onboarding efficiency and consistency through streamlined camp host and caretaker recruitment, orientation, and training processes. • Strengthen volunteer retention program through implementation of an annual survey to gather feedback and identify opportunities for improvement. • Expand volunteer capacity and organizational effectiveness by establishing a volunteer steering committee that identifies new opportunities, improves coordination, and supports cost-saving initiatives.
